Mother pushes for passage of ‘Kyra’s Law’ in honor of daughter killed by father

Hannah Mercuris, senior policy counsel at CFR, was quoted in a News 12 Long Island article about Kyra’s Law. CFR believes that the law can have unintended negative consequences.

“Not only will this overly-broad piece of legislation hurt children and families, but it also has the potential to flood the courts with false allegations,” Mercuris said.
