The Protective Power of Cash: A Virtual Teach-In on Cash Assistance

Join us for “The Protective Power of Cash: A Virtual Teach-In on Cash Assistance” on Monday, March 3 from 1-2:30 PM. This virtual event is hosted by the Narrowing the Front Door Workgroup and NYC Family Policy Project. It will provide information on the positive impacts of cash assistance programs.

Dozens of research studies have shown that investing in the economic stability of families reduces child welfare involvement––and the New York State Legislature is currently considering a slate of bills to increase families’ access to cash support.

CFR’s Executive Director Tehra Coles will speak on how cash assistance supports family well-being and reduces family policing system involvement.
