The New York Bar Foundation recently presented a grant of $4,500 to CFR. The grant will be used to support the organization’s Immigration Practice.

“When the city charges immigrant parents with neglect, which is often conflated with poverty, that charge can put their immigration status in jeopardy,” said CFR Executive Director Tehra Coles. “Funding from the New York Bar Foundation will help enable CFR to provide free and specialized attorney, social work, and paralegal assistance to these non-citizen parents so their families can remain intact. I am grateful to the New York Bar Foundation for recognizing CFR’s work with this generous grant.”
